Recently, I went into B12 Love in Walnut Creek. It is part of a new wave of wellness companies that does IVs for colds, muscle injuries, hangovers, and more. I did not take any pictures myself because it is kind of a personal place, but I wanted to share some of my experiences below:
Over the 4th of July holiday, I went to New York City to meet my oldest son, Ryan. He is doing a summer internship there. My other son, Jackson, also flew in with his girlfriend. We made the most of our four days together, but Jackson wasn’t feeling well on Monday and slept in for half the day. By the time I was flying out on the 6th I, too, was not feeling well.
When I got home and spent two days sleeping, a client recommended I go in and get the kitchen sink (a.k.a. “Rock & Roll”), meaning everything, at B12. I opted to start out a bit slower and got the immunity IV and NAD+. I had no clue what to expect. There were six reclining seats, pillows, and a handful of staff. Four seats were already taken with mostly younger people getting IV drips. I took the fifth seat and, within five minutes, the final seat was filled. They started me on the immunity drip, which had the following:
The second drip was NAD, which they warned me would feel like a bit of a force in my system. As it started, I asked if feeling light-headed and that you might get sick was part of it, and they immediately slowed the drip and I felt better. NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a coenzyme found in all living cells. It is crucial in many biological processes, including metabolism, DNA repair, and cell signaling. I also found they give vitamin D shots (which I am low on), and may go in for one of those in the near future.
I was there for an hour and a half because I took the NAD+ very slowly. It helped me feel better and recover from the bug I picked up in New York. It can be a bit pricey but may be worth it if you’re going a handful of times a year. My client who referred me was heading out on a trip to Italy and he went in and got the Rock & Roll to help his immune system on the plane. That is not a bad idea. If you want to know more, I recommend going in and speaking with them about the benefits.
