East Bay prides itself on having a summer compared to those living in San Francisco. We enjoy nearly 100 degree days and nice evenings spent outside, not bundled up in sweaters and jackets in July! To celebrate these great evenings Walnut Creek Recreation Department offers 4 nights throughout the summer to bring the family (no pets), blankets, lawn chairs and a picnic to either Civic Park or Heather Farms and enjoy Movies Under The Stars! This years first movie night is Saturday June, 27 at Civic Park to view “Into the Woods”. If you can’t make this weekend try one of these:
- Friday July 10 @ Heather Farm Park – “When The Game Stands Tall”
- Saturday July 25 @ Civic Park – “The Lego Movie”
- Friday August 7 @ Heather Farm Park – “Big Hero 6”
For movies at Heather Farm Park there is a suggested $2 donation while Civic Park (added new this year) are sponsored by the Downton Enhancement Fund.
