For this upcoming 4th, I wanted to share all of the amazing events that will be happening around the Area.
Walnut Creek
A family friendly evening that includes performances by the Walnut Creek Concert Band as well as free root beer floats served from 5 -6 p.m. & 7-7:30 p.m. by former Walnut Creek mayors! The concert begins at 6 p.m. and will last about an hour. Adding to the celebrations, the Valley Art Gallery is hosting a “Walnut Creek Paint-Out” project, which will be a display of plein-air art scenes of Walnut Creek created by local artists. The “Walnut Creek Paint-Out” will be from 3-7:30 p.m. at the Civic Park Gazebo in Walnut Creek.
Concord
4th of July Festival and Fireworks held downtown at Mt Diablo High School. The gates will open at 4 p.m. and the fireworks will start at 9 p.m. And also inculding kids carnival, food, exhibitors, and live entertainment!
Moraga,
A day full of food, parades, fun and games at the Commons Park! The day will start will a fun run/walk, pancake breakfast, dog parade, children’s bike parade, old-fashioned kids’ games, magic shows, food booths, a free concert, and so much more! San Ramon,
The day is going to start off with a Fun Run starting and finishing at San Ramon Central Park, 12501 Alcosta Blvd. Race Day Registration Begins at 6:30am; the 10K starts at 8:15 a.m. and the 5k and 3k start at 8: 20 a.m. After the Run Fun there will be a barbeque where you can enjoy food and drinks in the park with family and friends. After your stomachs are full, head down to watch the Danville parade. Cap off the night in Central Park with a free concert featuring patriotic music. There will be no fireworks display this year.
