Few things say “Mother’s Day” like a beautiful garden and the Ruth Bancroft Garden is welcoming mom’s with a special pampering day.
A Mother’s Day Tea Party has scheduled seating at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., Sun., May 11, in the Ruth Bancroft Garden, 1552 Bancroft Road, Walnut Creek. The event includes sandwiches, seasonal fruit and assorted petite pastries from La Boulange, plus freshly brewed tea. It also features hands-on crafts for families and docent-led tours at 10 and 11 a.m., and 1 p.m. The cost for the special day is $30 for adults and $20 for children (includes admission to the Garden). Mom’s and kids under 12 are free.

Walnut Creek Art & Wine Festival – May 31st – June 1st

May 31st and June 1st will be packed full of great food and drinks, live music, and pieces from local artists. Revelers can sample local restaurants’ delicacies and wash it all down with regional wine or the micro-brew of their choice. Admission is free, and the event lasts from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. With sunshine and plenty of grassy fields, the whole family is sure to have a great time.
